Regio flying to the Vilan
15.03.2011 -Another Regio East flying, this time under the guidance of Töni. Fortunately, the weather forecast for Thursday was quite reliable and I was able to take the week off. A group of about a dozen paraglider pilots have the same thing in mind: cross-country flying! But the base is rather low today with 2300 m.a.s.l.. I visit the neighboring mountain from Sassauna, Vilan. There I circle longer with a glider at the same altitude. But also this one does not really get away.

Gained some height and tried to crack the Sassauna three times.
Base at 2300. Got just above the Sassauna on the third attempt.

I continued on to Vilan where I had to scrape level with two gliders to maintain altitude.
